Academic Case Studies

At the academic level, there are five cases that represent the main areas of study in the marketing concentration. Each team of three students, which constitutes the best students in that field, are given a case to be completed. Under the three hour time limit, the students must complete a full analysis of the case given, indentify the main issues and propose a solution. The students are not allowed the use of any supporting materials such as marketing books and the Internet, therefore relying on the knowledge learned throughout their studies and training.

They are then given 20 minutes to present their resolution to a panel of judges. The judges, often from top marketing firms and/or major corporations, critique and rank the teams based on their performance.
