Events
Each school year, The University of Ottawa Marketing Association holds both exciting and informative events for students at the Telfer School of Management.
Find a summary of each of our great events below:
UOMA Charity Ball
Date: November 21st 6:00PM, Crowne Plaza Hotel
This year will mark the 20th anniversary of the UOMA Charity Ball. Commonly known to students at Telfer as the "marketing ball", each year this event draws some of the largest attendance numbers within the school for an event. Typically planned around a dinner and dance, this event is held annually for charity -- this year benefiting the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Every year, charity ball is full of great surprises and treats for students, including a silent auction and raffle - and this year proves to be the best one yet! Attending and investing in this event, is investing in a cure.
UOMA Marketing and Sales Breakfast
Date: November 3rd 7:30-9:30AM
Pairing with the Telfer Career Centre for the first time, UOMA is looking forward to this professional event. Through linking students with professionals in the fields of sales and marketing, UOMA will fulfill its duty of providing opportunities for Telfer marketing students.
Happening Marketing 2010
Happening Marketing gathers nearly 500 business and marketing students from over 10 universities in Eastern Canada. This inter-university competition challenges their knowledge, skills, creativity and school spirit through academic cases, as well as sport and social activities. Students are put to the test in "real-world" marketing situations, improving their analytical and theoretical skills in the field. Try-outs for students are typically in early to mid-Jaunuary, stay tuned for more details!
